This is Mohammed's PX1 Ranger, which came to us after we had already tuned his PX2. Having experienced the gains on his newer model, Mohammed wanted to see what we could do for his earlier PX1—and the results did not disappoint.
The PX1 Rangers are tough, reliable trucks, but like many factory calibrations, they leave performance on the table. Straight from Ford, the ECU maps are conservative, designed to meet global emissions and fuel standards rather than deliver the best possible drive. Mohammed’s feedback on his PX2 had already proven how much of a difference our bespoke tuning makes, so bringing in the PX1 was the natural next step.
We carried out a full ECU read, analysed the software, and applied precise calibration changes to fuelling, boost, and torque management. The outcome was stronger low-end pull, smoother midrange power, and far sharper throttle response. For a truck that already had a reputation for working hard, this upgrade gave it the responsiveness and punch that makes daily driving and towing effortless.
