EVO X - Precision Tuning in Full Swing at Our New Workshop
We’ve been busy settling into our new workshop, and thought we’d share a few highlights from one of this week’s standout projects, a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X, a car that perfectly captures why we love this work.

The Spirit of the EVO X
The EVO X has always been a driver’s car; sharp, responsive, and engineered with intent. Its turbocharged 4B11 engine and advanced AWD system make it one of the most rewarding platforms to tune, and every time we calibrate one, we’re reminded just how much potential Mitsubishi built into it.
This particular EVO came in for a performance tune, and after a full ECU read, we optimised fuelling, boost control, and torque mapping to bring out the best in the turbo’s mid-range. The transformation was immediate, stronger pull, faster spool, and cleaner response through the revs.

Precision That You Can Feel
Beyond the power increase, the real difference lies in the control. The car now delivers torque more progressively, making it easier to modulate on corner exit; one of the EVO’s strongest traits when tuned correctly.
Our AutoUpgrades EVO X calibration is developed using the same OEM-level methodology we apply across all platforms; measured, validated, and tested to maintain drivability and long-term reliability. The goal is to make the EVO feel factory-refined, but faster, sharper, and more engaging than ever.

Tuned for New Zealand Conditions
Every part of the tune is tailored to the car’s setup, turbo efficiency, octane rating, and airflow characteristics, ensuring it performs at its absolute best in New Zealand conditions.
This is the essence of OEM-grade calibration, precision engineering that enhances performance without sacrificing reliability or refinement.

Experience It for Yourself
Tuning cars like this reminds us why we do what we do, bringing precision, performance, and personality together in perfect balance.
